The 3000-watt Whisper 500 is a powerful, rugged wind turbine which can produce enough energy to power an entire home. The Whisper 500 is a two bladed fiberglass reinforced turbine that incorporates the patented side furling design that optimizes output at any wind speed. At 12 mph (5.4 m/s) wind, a Whisper 500 will produce as much as 500 kWh per month. That is enough energy to power an average size home.

Whisper video shows furling of the Whisper 200 in high winds. Whisper 100 and 500 furl in the same way.
Protection in High Winds:
The Whisper has a unique Angle-Governor which protects the turbine in high winds by tilting the alternator and blades out of the wind, reducing turbine exposure and consequently reducing the turning speed. Some wind turbines can lose as much as 80% of their output when furled, but the Whisper Angle-Governor allows it to achieve maximum output in any wind speed.
Whisper Controller:
The Whisper 500, unlike many other small wind systems, ships with a controller that offers greater reliability and superior control for battery charging. Its compact, safe cabinet design features easily settable voltage regulation points, load dump and load dump isolation from the battery. The price of the system includes the turbine and the controller. This controller operates with wind energy only.
It installs in minutes and it protects both your wind turbine and battery. The Whisper controller fits easily inside your battery room. You can even add an anemometer to your controller and now you can measure wind speed and compare it to the output to make sure you are getting the most from your Whisper 500.
Use and Installation:
The Whisper 500 is NOT for the novice. Installation of the turbine requires concrete foundations and at times a crane to lift the wind turbine into place. We carry a series of tower kits especially for the AIR wind module and Whisper wind turbines. Each tower kit comes with all the hardware necessary to install your tower (except pipe and concrete).

A non-refundable $500 deposit will be taken at checkout. You will then be contacted by a customer service representative who will finalize your purchase. We ONLY accept wire transfers on all orders exceeding $4000. The $500 deposit shall be applied towards the final freight shipping cost.
