{title}-imageThe simplest Evacuated Tubes Solar Water Heater designed for remote locations with no electricity or regular municipal water supply.

This Compact Solar Water Heater relies on warm water rising, a phenomenon known as the thermosiphon principal, to circulate water through the collectors and to the tank. In this type of installation, the tank must be located above the collector. As water in the collector heats, it becomes lighter and naturally rises into the tank above. Meanwhile, cooler water in the tank flows downward into the collector, thus causing circulation throughout the system. These systems are reliable and relatively inexpensive but require careful planning during installation because the water tanks are heavy.

Compact Solar Water Heater (HM series) move household water or a heat-transfer fluid through the system without pumps. This kind of passive systems have the advantage that electricity outage and electric pump breakdown are not issues. This makes passive systems generally more reliable, easier to maintain, and possibly longer lasting than active systems. Passive systems are often less expensive than active systems, but are also generally less efficient due to slower water flow rates through the system.
Here is the simplest of installation configurations for the Evacuated Tubes Solar Water Heater . The tank is low pressure, open vented. The tank is manually filled by opening a tap in the house. Once the tank is full water runs out through an overflow pipe which is fed back down into the house. When water starts flowing out the tank is full. When using water the tank gradually drains until it is empty. Once accustomed to the method of operation, the user knows how much water is left in the tank and can fill it up at the appropriate time.

Depending on hot water usage pattern and weather conditions, the hot water can be used directly for showering, or can be used as a pre-heat, feeding the inlet of an instant or tank water heater.
