Insulate Water Tank and Lines

A water tank insulation jacket costs under $30 and helps hold the heat inside, making your hot water heater more efficient. You can also add pre-cut pipe insulation or bubble insulated radiant barrier on exposed pipes going into your water heater and the hot water pipe coming out of your water heater - it is cheap and easy to install. If you’re starting with an uninsulated hot water tank, the energy savings should pay for the improvements in just a few months.
