Gas prices and pollution continue to rise, but there is something you can do to beat both of these. It is estimated that you can get 35 percent better fuel mileage out of your current vehicle by simply not having such a heavy foot. Driving with a heavy foot and accelerating fast will push more gasoline into the engine to keep it running faster. This will ultimately cause decreased fuel economy and increased toxic emissions. So lighten up… On that gas pedal.
