Here in Toronto all cars have to have an emission test every two years.  You cannot renew your license plates until the emission tests have been done and they have to be done before your birthday or you don’t get a new sticker/tag for your license plate.

I think this is one of the wisest moves that the government has made with respect to emissions.  One of the worst things that I used to see was a car driving in front of me blasting out black smoke from it’s exhaust.  This has been completely eliminated in Toronto.

Now if we can only get them to do the same thing for factories around the world we could really get a grip on emissions.

Not quite as strict as the ones here in the states where you have to have them every year before you get a new registration sticker. They are pretty strict in some of them.

I would prefer to only have it once every couple of years.
