There are at least 2 counties china and India that over the next decade or two will become bigger consumers than the US if others in the ‘developing ’ world join them there will be no stopping the ticking bomb

China’s air is much worst than the air quality in California from the coal furnaces that are in use there.  Coal ahes cover everything, can you imagine breathing that air?

I agreed that education is one way to make more people aware of the seriousness and the need to consume only what is needed.  Larger cars, larger houses, larger portions of food more is not better.  We need to start with the children and re-educate their parents to use less to save some for tomorrow.

Will the use of Hybrid vehicles reduce the output of carbon soon enough or will this be one of those too little too late situations?

We need to learn as a people that we can not keep wasting our resources and expect to have a future.

I agree, Americans consume so much and it never seems to end. We really need to get control of this. I love the fact that we have such a great abundance here in the US but eventually we need to see that we have to come up with ways to stop the unending consumption of goods.
