Denial of Global Warming?

In recent years, I’ve seen plants starting to bloom before spring stays with us, and I’ve heard of the record high temperatures.

Some people maintain that this is a cycle that occurs every few hundred years. Are there any facts to support that theory?

I’ve also heard that geologists in general don’t think global warming is an issue.

There is a debate as to whether Global Waming is true.  I have noticed that the weather in my area this year is not as warm as it has been.  Temperatures were higher for a couple years though.

The weather here is completely messed up-it seems to be world wide. The only real constant that I can see from denialists is a link to the fossil fuel industry. Something that would either cost them money, or cost them votes, or some other affect their big expensive lifestyle.

Whilst I am in no doubt our lifestyle has led to a severe degredation in quality of the environment and our atmosphere, I am not completely convinced that this is the sole cause of global warming and associated effects.

Other possibilities include increased sunspot activity. It is believed this has had effects on the weather, including temperatures, in the past and I see no reason why it cannot be at least partially responsible this time around.

I take into consideration when thinking about things like sunspot activity, that it is something that we have only recently understood. We cannot just take the knowledge that we have of the current situation and make it fit the last thousand years, or million years-there is just too much guess work.

I prefer to consider only the known factors, such as the fact that we have released in two hundred years, as much CO2 as it took mother nature hundreds of thousands of years to lock away. Such a release cannot but affect the delicate balance of nature-especially when the greenhouse properties of CO2 are considered.

Global warming denial seems to be a phenomenon mostly isolated to North America. I wonder why that is?

I see no reason why we can’t look at alternative causes for global warming, even if we are having to use relatively new principles to explain them.

I don’t doubt for a second that we aren’t at least partially if not predominantly responsible for global warming, though I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of another shift in climate in the next few thousand years regardless of whether or not we still exist and are still pumping out harmful gases into the atmosphere.

That said, I think the problem has been ignored for too long, and only now that the effects are becoming obvious, politicians have decided to use it to try and gain votes when they should have been addressing the issue years ago as part of their policy.

I dont think that its so much global warming as global climate change

I’m really not sure if global warming is even real or not.  There are just so many debates between the two.  I don’t doubt that we as human beings played a role in changing the climate at least slightly, but as mentioned before, the weather can turn sporatic in an instant, and though we have warmer weather now, a few months ago it was cooler.

Well, here is the deal.
Global warming is real; there is absolute solid proof of that. No one is denying that Global Warming is happening, unless said person has been living under a rock.

The argument and debate is over weather or not it is man made. This unfortunately is a little harder to prove with empirical data; however most of the solid scientific communities and websites are saying that it is definitely accelerated by human emissions.

The other scientist and nay sayers are generally Exxon Mobil funded. There are many scientific labs funded by Exxon Mobile, so you really have to watch who is saying what and who pays that person. It’s very hard to see something one way when someone is paying you to see it another way.

That brings us to climate change, which is the supposed result of global warming. This in my opinion this something that cannot be predicted. The weather man can’t even get this week forecast right, so I highly doubt that any scientist can say for certain what will happen to the climate as a result of global warming.

However some deductions can be made, for instance heat melts ice, so yes icebergs will melt and arctic sheets will fall into the ocean. From that scientist can accurately predict that because of the influx of fresh water into the Gulf Stream, the stream will change and adjust, and cause changes in the weather. So in my opinion the scientist are right about predicting climate change, just not the “particulars” about that climate change.

Anyway from all of the research I have done, this is my humble opinion, but make no mistake about it “Global Warming” is happening that’s been proven by empirical data.

Hello everyone, well…. global warming is a serious issue and we all should think seriously about it. Its is happening due to environmental problems and I think we must eradicate this first.
