If anyone else upset at the fact that it looks like people will never stop tearing down the forests for the sake of population growth and lumber?  I’m especially worried about South America and it’s rainforests. I know that there are plenty of groups out there that are trying to replant trees or ration how many trees a a company can cut down, but it doesn’t look like it’ll be enough.  There are only so many places that wild animals can go to as a result.

I recently read an article about a young boy who started a very successful project in Germany…through his efforts they were able to plant 1M trees and he is starting a new project and that is to plant 1B tree all over the world through his efforts. I think more people should be involved in this stuff and the politicians should take heed to this boy’s call and that is to stop talking and start planting.

Nice initiative taken by the people of Germany to plant more trees.I think this is the only solution to handle this problem and please cut less trees.

Trees are viable habitats for many species.  Trees also act as natural filters of our air.  It also produces oxygen.  A fundamental requirement for all animals is a supply of oxygen. Through the process of photosynthesis, trees and other vegetation supply us with this vital gas.

I just simply like trees! I hope that illegal loggers would stop this kind of wrong doings. We need trees in our daily lives, our furniture, papers and almost everything we see is in our daily lives were made of trees. People should replace whatever they get out of the forest to preserve our planet better.
