"Help The Planet, Save Money & Brag About It"

Now the politically correct thing to say is ‘Happy Holidays’.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I’ll ignore those who celebrate other winter holidays like Kwanza, but why do we have to get rid of ‘Merry Christmas’?

Will it really offend people if I wish them a Merry Christmas?  When I was a kid, I never said anything else.  Now, with all this controversy about holidays where you are -supposed- to wish people well, Christmas just doesn’t seem the same anymore.

The single biggest issue for Christian Nationalists may be the use of the generic greeting “Happy Holidays” over the Christmas-specific greeting “Merry Christmas.” I don’t think that a couple of years ago anyone was saying that it was designed to undermine Christianity or even that it excluded Christmas and Christians. Today, though, people like Lou Dobbs claim that saying Happy Holidays is a deliberate attempt to exclude Christians.

You can probably say that but in truth Christmas is a christian holiday and it’s because of Christ that there is even a celebration to begin with so naturally Christians would be sensitive about the issue. But then again, I can’t speak for everybody else so to each his own and let’s just celebrate Christmas as we see fit and greet one another in ways we feel best suits the occasion ^^

There is nothing really to talk about..Christmas is Christmas, that’s it…whichever way you say it…would you be offended if i say ” be happy on christmas day” ?

I don’t believe that!Or is maybe because in those days are more holidays,not only Christmas(is New year too).Anyway in my country,we say “Merry Christmas”.

This is really unbelievable!Is like in my country,in communism days,when we cannot say Santa Clause..and I just start a thread with “Merry Christmas” ha ha ha!
