I can understand selling the hydrogen things for cars because they have to make them somehow, but they should at least have the design public. Then people can make their own, and even improve the design, and post it.

I especially hate when people sell eBooks. It may be OK to sell it for $5 until you make some money for the work you did writing it and then make it free, but selling an eBook for $30 is bull.

People who do that don’t really care about helping to stop global warming or anything like that, they just want money.

What do you guys think?

Saving the Planet, One step at a time

You know, I have to agree! It does make sense to make the plans public, but it seems every time that big business gets involved, they have to patent it and make it all secret… unless there are big bucks in it for the businesses, it seems they’re not really interested. The hydrogen cars are great examples of this, you’re right!

And about those ebooks, they can be way way overpriced… sometimes you can find a deal, so keep your eyes out!

Yes…I have seen some ebooks that go at a ridiculous price. Yet you do nt really know what you are buying until you give them your money. The most absurd one I have ever seen was one for learning how to pray to god.

Even if it is a great book they are just trying to make a profit, not help.

I have thought of making or buying a website that sells tutorial ebooks. People buy those all the time and I could make a large profit off of them.

I agree and dissagree, If someone goes throught the trouble of writing a nice ebook, I dont see why they wouldnt have the right to charge others for it. Now the price, need to reflect the quality of information otherwise they will get alot of returns.

Personally I have written a few and attempted to sell them, but for this website, I decided that I will write good quality info for free.

Now I did write one ebook about water heating and how to save by using different passive systems paired with active system to cut your bills by 90%. Im not charging for it, however I am asking that people tell a few friends about this site, in order to receive it. Here is the link if any of you are interested: http://www.neutralexistence.com/Tell-A-Friend.html

I don’t really think you can learn anything from eBooks, so I guess I kind of agree with you on this one. $5 seems reasonable, but $30 is outrageous.

Are you crazy, I have learned soo much from e-books. I always buy ebooks and granted some of them are awfull (ask for money back) and then some of them have those little nuggets of information that make you thousands of dollars.

An ebook is basically a regular book in digital format, so saying you cant learn anything from an ebook is like saying you cant learn anything from any book. Its just not true!

Tell you what, why dont you go and download my ebook and tell me if you don’t learn anything: http://www.neutralexistence.com/Ultimate_Water_Heating_Guide.pdf

If you dont learn anything then let me know and I’ll take it down, rewrite it and beef it up even more. However if you do learn something, why dont you go and tell 3 of your friends about this site: http://www.neutralexistence.com/Tell-A-Friend.html

A lot of books can be illegally downloaded as ebooks, so if you can learn for books, you can learn from ebooks.

I don’t like reading ebooks though so I bought a book that I have as an ebook today raspberry

What I do not like is that ebooks are not protected under paypals buyer’s protection service. They do not provide that service to digital products so if the seller refuses to rebate you then you are at a loss.

Well once you have something digital you can’t really return it. Say I buy photoshop. I could go home, rip it, and then go back and return it. Same with CDs.

But there are cracks, you can download them and you don’t have to pay anything. that’s pretty crazy though especially for the ones who made the book.

I think the issue isn’t patenting the product, it’s more like they are hiding it from public because oil tycoons want to manipulate the market and do everything they can to prevent people from having options.
