With the next presidential election coming up, politics are getting heated.

What is your political affiliation, if you have one, and do you plan on voting in the 2008 election?

I don’t necessarily side with one party all the time, but I tend to lean more towards the Democrats. I consider myself moderately liberal, but there are so many interpretations of the meaning of liberal that it’s hard to always identify with one group.

I’d say that I’m a democrat, but I use the term pretty loosely. I will most definitely be voting in the next election, but I’m not sure if I’ll be voting for Hillary or Obama yet. I’m thinking that either one would be a great choice. I sincerely hope that a democrat does win the election.

Im definently more partial to the green party and/or independant.

Many people think i am stupid and say i am wasting my vote, but its my vote to do with as i wish. If atl east 5% of the people vote for a green party candidate, then we would have a third party in the debates.

Unfortunatly I also feel that by the time a candidate gets to that level, they have already been corrupted beyond help, so in my opinion they are all the same (greens may be different, but I doubt it).

I agree with you on that. I think that once a politician reaches the level where he can be president, he already has his own personal agenda. It’s sad and unfortunate, but I think that goes for most of them.

I am not a citizen, but I find it hard to believe any party will make any real significant changes no matter what they say

I agree, up4it.  The candidates still aren’t focusing enough on the issue in my opinion.  However, my vote in the 2008 election is going to go to John Edwards.

I guess I would call myself independant as well, though not officially!  I’m registered as a democrat, but I’m open to the opinions of both parties.  I end up thinking them both as childish prattlers with just how much they attack eachother on a day to day basis.  They focus so much on beating eachother that they don’t pay full attention to the conflicts at hand!  It’s just a blame game.
