“The world’s oversight body on wildlife trade refused Friday to defend two sharks from over-exploitation for a range of food, from supermarket fish-and-chips to gourmet shark fin soup.”

I understand that we cannot protect every animal out there, but this kind of makes me mad. I feel that we’re not doing enough to protect endangered animals. Am I overreacting? It just seems horrible that we are allowing entire species of animals to be killed.

I don’t see why we cannot protect every endangered species, when it is US who is doing the damage, causing them to be endangered. If we just stopped killing them for food or whatever else we we are killing them for, then their plight would be a lot less severe.

There are so many ways that we can protect endangered species, and it sickens me that we are doing absolutely nothing. I just wish that I could do more.

I hate sharks, but I know they do wonders for the ocean environment. Even though I am not a fan I do see the importance of protecting them. How does one go about trying to protect endangered species?
