I just wouldn’t be able to give up meat!  We humans are basically omnivores, and though vegetarians are able to give up the delicacy, I know that I certainly wouldn’t be able to.  I could ration it out so that I ate -less- though!

I am vegetarian so yes no problem in giving up meat.. but I am seriously thinking on eating some of my own chicken .
as of global warming, yes possibly methane production from large herd do contribute, by the same token large herds of wildbeast and other large herds in african savanna also do.. I guess like everythign else balance is the key.
so may be not giving up meat altogether for everyone but reducing meat / fish consumption as well as eating locally produced food will be a huge bonus

We did not totally give up meat we just cut back on consumption of red meat. We totaly quit eating chicken when we learned how they are raised and the enviromental impact not mentioning the hormones used.

Like to eat wild caught fish harvested in a sustainable way.

Read Michael Pollans book, the Omnivores Dilemma. It tells you where you food comes from. Does not try to convert you to a vegetarian.

it is difficult giving up meat as there are few alternatives, however I would be willing to reduce the amount I consume!

i am not a fan of red meat but i do enjoy meat in many different occasions and banquets. i don’t think giving it up altogether is good though.. we still need meat to help develop our muscles but i suggest to eat it on a minimum.. don’t misunderstand.. i love veggies!!

filth to others but honestly I don’t have any intentions of giving up meat. Here’s why:

Meat offers valuable nutrients including protein, iron, zinc and B vitamins, according to the American Meat Institute. Your body needs proteins to build healthy muscles, bones and skin, as well as produce hormones and synthesize vitamins.

Meat provides you with heme-iron, a type of iron that’s easier for your body to absorb than the type of iron found in non-meat sources like veggies and beans. Zinc helps your immune system function properly, while the B vitamin group helps regulate the nervous system and release energy.

I hope this helps.

Hi Friends!!!!!

I and my Family all were vegetarian, but once my friends insisted me to eat the meat they cooked, it was chicken at that time. Since I have a hobby of eating varieties. So nodding my head saying no, I started eating it. I liked it but later my family said that it’s always better to go for vegetarian. So, they are all still vegetarian but I am used to non-veg too. And also I think, that it is life cycle that production and consumption are the law of nature. So, Even I try to leave those but had not yet given up.
