I originally got a prepaid debit card when I was going on holiday as it’s the easiest way to carry money abroad, but when I came back I decided to keep it for a while, after using it a few times, I came to realise that it works just like bank debit cards and credit cards. Often when I do my shopping I always have the money beforehand so find it a better way to control how much debt am taking on, in these tough economic times you don’t want to have too much debt, I especially realised that last year when out of the blue my credit card company decided to increase the interest rate on the balance I had, I had to scramble to do a balance transfer. With such risks, its important to control your debt and prepaid debit cards help me to do just that.
